Formed in 1997, Amal Express is founded on the merger of 13 money remittance firms and is owned by seven partners who work together to build and promote the company operations.

While the company is duly registered in Uganda, East Africa, its operations are mainly handled from its offices in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). The company is driven by a vision built on the provision of financial and investment opportunities with a particular focus on Africa and Islamic finance.

Since 1997, we succeeded in expanding company business establishing a solid financial and management base in East Africa and internationally, putting the company in the lead in the money transfer business.  On the strength of the trust and confidence shown by the communities we serve, we have embarked on diversification programs including business ventures in power generation and trade finance.  Currently our Group of companies comprises Amal Express, Real Estate, Islamic Banking and General Trading.
